Outrage Over Spread of Fake News After Park Boram's Tragic Death

After the sudden death of singer Park Boram, many people were outraged as fake news that was not verified by the facts was spread on YouTube.
 
After the news of Park's death broke, many people were outraged to learn that cyber leakers and malicious YouTubers were exploiting the news to make money, creating and spreading fake news.

Currently, if you search for the name "Park Boram" on YouTube, you can easily find videos with provocative keywords, such as "Park Boram's bizarre behavior before her death" and "Park Boram's boyfriend's urgent arrest," which have caused great controversy.

In addition, referring to Park's mother, who had already passed away, people said, "It's cruel. Cold," referring to Park Boram's mother, who had already passed away, and there were also many videos that confirmed the cause of death by saying, "Park Boram's food was poisoned," which confirmed that fake news spread quickly.

In response, singer Kim Grim himself spoke out, saying, "These people who are making money off of the dead... It really makes my blood boil. Do it in moderation, you will be punished," which resonated with many people.
 
On April 11, 2024, many people were shocked when it was announced that Park Boram, who appeared on Superstar K2 and placed in the 'Top 11' with his strong singing voice and confidence, passed away at the age of 30.

On April 12, Park Boram's agency, Xenadu Entertainment, and the police stated that a 119 call was received at 10 p.m. on the previous night, stating that "Park Boram went to the bathroom during a meeting and didn't come out, and when he did, he collapsed." Paramedics then rescued Park Boram and took him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead at 11 p.m.

In response, the agency stated, "All of our fellow artists and employees are deeply mourning the deceased with great sadness." "The funeral process will be organized after consulting with the bereaved family. Once again, we send our deepest condolences to the deceased on his final journey," which brought people to tears. 

Born in 1994, Park, who was 30 years old, was found collapsed in the bathroom of an acquaintance's home in Namyangju City at around 9:55 p.m. on April 11, 2024.

Police and firefighters found him at around 10 p.m. and rushed him to the hospital, where he was given CPR but was pronounced dead at 11:17 p.m.

The deceased was reportedly drinking with acquaintances before his death and went to the restroom alone, and when he didn't come out of the bathroom, an acquaintance who went to check on him found him lying on the ground and called the police.

The police requested an autopsy from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (NISI) as no unusual trauma marks were found in connection with Park's death, and an official from the Namyangju South Police Station in Gyeonggi Province said that an autopsy to determine the cause of death of the late Park Boram is scheduled to take place on the morning of the 15th.
 
Lee Boram and Kim Grim, who previously appeared on "Superstar K2" with Park Boram, expressed their condolences on their social media, with Lee Boram writing, "I can't believe the sudden news... Please rest in a good place and be happy and comfortable," he wrote.

In addition, singer Phil, who worked at the same agency as Park Boram, expressed his condolences by canceling his upcoming schedule following the news of Park's death. "Please be informed that my busking performances on the 12th and 14th have been canceled," he wrote on his social media account on April 12th.
