From April 8 to 14, V was ranked No. 1 for 159 consecutive weeks in the "K-Pop Male Idol Ranking" poll conducted by NEHAN, a popular Japanese idol ranking site.

V topped the "Korean Male Actor Popularity Ranking" poll on BIHAN, which provides weekly popularity rankings and drama information for Korean actors. In the "Top 20 Male Actors" category, he has held the top spot for 155 consecutive weeks.

V made his acting debut in the drama "Hwarang" in 2016. Since then, he has been taking a break from acting due to his group activities, but fans are eagerly awaiting his next project.

In January, V appeared in IU's music video for "Love Wins All". V's emotions of pain and happiness in contrasting situations were immersive, and he drew favorable reviews for his perfect portrayal of a character who sees the world with only one eye.

When director Uhm Tae-hwa, who shot the music video for "Love Wins All," wanted "a boyishness in the male lead role, but also a cool and chunky feeling when he transforms," IU said she thought of V. V is highly anticipated as an actor because he has a variety of images ranging from fragile and rebellious to innocent boyishness and strong masculinity.

In the digital single "Friends" (FRI(END)S), which was released in March, V appeared in the music video himself and was praised for portraying the conflicting emotions of being single and a couple with subtle facial expressions.

V has also been ranked No. 1 on KPOP JUICE, which covers K-pop idol rankings and audition information, for the entire cumulative period, including daily, weekly, and monthly. V received a total of 4.54 million votes.
