On Wednesday, the Namyangju South Police Station of the Gyeonggi-do North Police Agency reported that an individual named Park collapsed while using the restroom after consuming alcohol at the house of an acquaintance in Namyangju City at approximately 9:55 p.m. on the previous day.

 

"He didn't come out after going to the restroom, so we checked and found him lying down," the acquaintances told police.

 

She was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at around 11:17 pm.

 

Police have reportedly requested an autopsy from the National Institute of Forensic Science to determine the exact cause of death.

 

On the same day, Park's agency said, "Park Boram suddenly left our side," adding, "We are discussing the funeral procedures with the bereaved family." There is no word yet on the cause of death.

 

"All of our fellow artists and employees of Xenadu Entertainment are deeply mourning the loss with great sadness," the agency said, adding, "We ask that you refrain from speculative reports so that the grieving family and colleagues can mourn the deceased."

 



Born on March 1, 1994, Park Boram rose to fame after appearing on the second season of Mnet's survival program "Superstar K," which aired in 2010. She was loved by viewers for her charming voice in each mission, and with the support of her fans, she made it to the Top 8 alongside Heo Gak, John Park, Jang Jae In, Kang Seung Yoon, Kim Eun Bi, Kim Ji Soo, and Andrew Nelson.

 

In August 2014, Park Boram made his official debut in the music industry with the song "Pretty", which was written and composed by Rado and rap-made by Blac B Zico. Since then, she has expanded her musical spectrum by releasing "I Want to Entertain," "Superbody," "I'm Sorry," "Dynamic Love," "Don't Try," "Please Stop," "Will You Be Okay," "Just One More Drink," "To Me Who Doesn't Love Me," "Because I Want to," "I Can't," "If I Look at You Still," "Rainy Season," and "Listen to This Song.

 

In recent years, she has released OSTs for various dramas as well as collaborative singles with fellow singers. In 2019, she released "Two Alone" with Park Jae Jung, and in 2022, she released "Tomorrow Will Shine" with In Soon Yi.

 

On February 18 of this year, she released a new duet with Heo Gak, with whom she has had a strong friendship for over a decade since they met through "Superstar K2," "I Want You. On April 3, more than a week before his death, Park Boram released the single "Miss You Already," a ballad.
