BTS's Jimin is making history by dominating Spotify in South Korea.
According to Spotify records on Tuesday, Jimin's title track "Like Crazy" from his first solo album "FACE" became the first and only song to reach 30 million (filtered) streams since Spotify launched in South Korea.
The English version of "Like Crazy" also surpassed 20 million streams, making Jimin the only artist in Korean Spotify history to have two songs with over 20 million streams, proving that listeners love the song.
On April 11, "Like Crazy" topped the Korean Spotify Daily Top Songs chart with 106,984 streams, making it the song's longest-running chart-topper since its release in March of last year, and Jimin has spent 277 days atop the Korean Spotify Daily Top Artists chart, making him the longest-running chart-topper for both the song and artist.
Jimin's 42nd week at #1 on Spotify Korea's Weekly Top Artists Chart (April 5 - April 11) is the longest streak for a solo artist in history, and "Like Crazy" is also the #2 song on the Weekly Top Songs chart, making it a standout amongst a strong field of new releases.
Meanwhile, according to Spotify's Korean music trends released last year as part of its year-end wrap-up campaign Wrapped, Jimin was the most-streamed artist in Korea for the year.
"Like Crazy," which took Korea by storm and became the first Korean solo to top Spotify's global Top Songs of the Day chart, recently became the first Korean solo song in history to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify, making it the first K-pop song with the singer listed in the credits to join the Spotify 1 Billion Club.
